Happy Chinese New Year's Eve

31 Jul.,2025

New Year's Eve is a time for family reunion. Wandering children return home, and the family sits together to eat New Year's Eve dinner. After dinner, the elders give out New Year's money, and then put up Spring Festival couplets and set off firecrackers, bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new in a lively manner.

The sunset ends, and the New Year's Eve curtain opens. The wanderers rush home across thousands of miles with their thoughts and reunite with their families.

At home, the elders are busy in the kitchen, and dishes full of heart are served on the table. The round dumplings are like gold ingots, which means to attract wealth and treasure; the soft and glutinous rice cakes symbolize promotion year after year. The family sits around, laughing and cherishing the moment of gathering.

After the meal, the elders hand out lucky money, carrying the care and expectations for the younger generation. Then, everyone puts up Spring Festival couplets together, and writes good wishes on red paper. As night falls, fireworks bloom and firecrackers sound, driving away the troubles of the old year and welcoming the hope of the new year.

New Year's Eve is the harbor of home and the home of the soul. It warms up family affection, sows the seeds of dreams in laughter, and looks forward to the glory of the new year.
